Question: i recently purchased a soviet 2nd model akm47 bayonet and was wondering if you could tell me what the small hook in the same metal as the barrel ring( oppeset side ) is for ? |

Answer: That is a place for the small strap to hook onto. Many AK-47 bayonets have lost the small strap that went from the hole in the handle to that hook over the fingers. |
